As a part of Richmond Team Ministry we strive to be an open and inclusive Church community, welcoming everyone regardless of age, background, relationship status, sexual orientation. We welcome those whose spiritual journey has been long, and those who are only just beginning their quest. We recognise that each one of us is created as God’s image and that we are called to worship God together with others..

Our Anglo-Catholic liturgy, with traditional hymns, psalms and anthems nourish us with beautiful words and harmonious sounds. It inspires also our imagination, sensitivity and faith. Short sermons usually explore the significance of the Scriptural passages in the context of our everyday lives. This lively, meaningful celebration engages in various ways all of us, who worship at St John’s , as nobody is a spectator.

Our faith teaches us about a God who is caring and merciful, both a Father and a Mother. We believe in a God who sent his Son to share our humanity. Our God of love meets us in many ways: through Sacraments such as Baptism and the Eucharist, through individual prayer, common worship and through reflective study of the Scriptures and the Tradition of the Church. Faith brings us closer to Christ’s mystery of love and his communion with all those who suffer. Therefore we try to be aware of various social issues that still wound our brothers and sisters. We recognize that we share responsibility for the injustice, sins, evil and prejudice that we find around us. But with Christ’s help and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we want to be channels of healing in the community where we live.
